Behavior Roundtable Discussions

Please join us for one of our Behavior Round Tables.   These two hour discussions focus on what you would like to talk long as dog behavior is the main focus.
The Round Tables will be at Camp K9 in Corte Madera.  There is a $20.00 fee, as we have to pay rent, and there is a minimum (10) and maximum (25) number of attendees.  The first Round Table date is Sunday, January 13th from 1 to 3 pm.
Here are some potential topics (but the sky is the limit):
  • Sheltering - what’s good for the dogs, how to evaluate properly, reducing stress, training?, culling, adopter help, after adoption help, ethics of no-kill
  • Behavior - when can you socialize, what does it accomplish, what is too much and what is not enough, when can you fix stuff and when do you just manage
  • Tool box - equipment, exercises, modification methods,
  • Ethology - is there a plan?  What does nature intend - anything or nothing? Training against instincts - how well can it work?
  • Training - What are the most important exercises to teach a dog?
  • Owner compliance
  • Individual behavior problems
